Band Members: Illegoaliens, sick minded individuals aka the cemented morlocks, a hip hop trio from Milwaukee and Oshkosh, Wisconsin consists of emcees, Fres Thao, Lase Thao and DJ RedButtons. Formed in 1993, Illegoaliens, formerly known as The Lost Breed Emcees, present hip hop with of a soulful, folk rock and psychedelic mixture. They have released numerous mixtapes and participated in many compilations such as the Hproject CD and are featured in a Live Sockets DVD.
The trio has performed throughout the midwest at venues such as the Rave Eagles Club in Milwaukee to First Avenue in Minneapolis.
Having done shows with fellow Midwest emcees such as The Crest, Toki Wright, Offwhyte, Qwel, El Gordo and many more as well as national acts such as Dj Qbert, they are currently promoting their first full length LP, Blank Canvas, which can be found at local Milwaukee record shops, Fifth Element in Minneapolis or online at their myspace site, www.myspace.com/illegoaliens.
Diversifying their fan base, they also have done gigs with local rock and punk metal groups such as Speedfreaks and the Hollowheads.
While not messing around with something hip hop, Fres can be found frolicking the local museums and zoos as well as hiding behind a book pretending not to be studying you. Lase can usually be seen constantly writing, downing some beers at the local bar or polishing his bball skills. Redbuttons can usually be found on Saturdays, spinning funk and soul at the Groove in Milwaukee’s Bayview.
