Frederik Støvring Olsen (b. 1981), started to play trumpet in the age of 10. In 2007 he graduated as a trumpet player from The Royal Academy of Music in Copenhagen.
Frederik works as Music Director for Sankt Annæ Symphony Orchestra and as Principal Conductor for The Symphony Orchestra of Copenhagen University, SYMFUNI. Frederik is further more artistic and pedagogical director of Slagelse Marching Wind Band.
Frederik is co-founder of and Artistic Director in Pro Musica Copenhagen. Pro Musica Copenhagen arrange all kind of different classical concerts in Copenhagen with great succes. Frederik is very active as a guest conductor with The Royal Academy of Music's different student ensembles (Copenhagen), The Polyhymnia Operetta Productions and several choirs, brassbands and windbands.
Frederik study with conductor, Kirk Trevor and Lars Jensen. In addition to this Frederik has participated in several master classes including courses with Professor at Kungligan Musikhögskola in Stockholm, Jorma Panula, Carlos Moreno and various danish conductors.
