No Frills Rock N' Roll

About Me

After releasing their first CD "The Whiskey Daredevils Greatest Hits", what could they do for an encore? At last, it's the new full length CD follow-up "The Essential Whiskey Daredevils" on Germany's Knock Out Records. Formed three years ago from three quarters of the Cowslingers (Leo P. Love/drums, Ken Miller/bass, and Greg Miller/vocals) with David Bowling (Hayshaker Jones) on rhythm guitar and Bob Lanphier (Crooked Mile) on lead guitar, the band has climbed in the van and brought the rock (and occasionally the roll) everywhere they have travelled. The band has toured relentlessly throughout a 12 hour radius of their Cleveland OH home base as well as a German tour in February 2007, and has found an audience hungry for their warped take on American Music like honest to goodness rock n' roll, blues, country, and rockabilly twisted up into their own unique "No Frills Rock N' Roll" sound.

An explosive live show where speed and volume have always been their friends, the Whiskey Daredevils are most at home on the stage. The band has managed to “capture the magic” (as it were) in the studio with their new full length CD “The Essential Whiskey Daredevils” on Germany’s Knock Out Records. Are you going to like “The Essential Whiskey Daredevils”? Check out the global praise for the band’s first CD, “Greatest Hits”

"flirts with genius, resulting in the type of loose, boozy, occasionally absurd, guitar-driven collision of rock 'n' roll and country most thought went tits up long about the time Buddy Blue left the Beat Farmers.with "Greatest Hits" they've not just captured lightning in a bottle, but the whole damn supercell."

- I-94 Bar (Australia)

"shellshocker of countryboogie'billy punky trash garage gunk. All these tracks are first among equals."

- Sleazegrinder

"Long Live The Whiskey Daredevils! The 'Greatest Hits' title is a goof. It's Ohio rootsrockers' debut album and it's best fuckin' record I've heard so far in 2005. THIS IS THE SHIT!" 5 stars

- Lowcut Magazine (Denmark)

"Greatest Hits is a terrific album. When a band has the testicles to title its debut album Greatest Hits, you can guess that they're either gonna be pompous assholes or wise-cracking funsters. These guys are the latter, and they've hammered home an excellent first album.here I am, poised to revise my "top ten albums of 2005" short list."

- Now Wave Magazine

What's upcoming? The Daredevils are set to release an all-punk covers album on Knock Out Records this fall. In the meantime, the band will keep jumping in the van and play no fills rock and roll wherever it is welcomed. New songs keep coming, so there will be even more releases on the way. When these things happen, we'll contact you and let ya know! You can always check www.whiskeydaredevils.com for the latest info.
