About Me

I am an author published under my name, Jody Wallace, and my cat's name, Ellie Marvel. FMI, my websites are www.meankitty.com (rated PG, all about the meankitties); www.jodywallace.com (rated PG-13, my main author page) & www.elliemarvel.com (rated R, my "other" author page). Meankitty is as yet more famous than me, her lowly Typing Slave, but I'm working on it. I set up a Myspace profile originally to make rude comments on my siblings' pages. (The best reason ever!) That being said, I'm happy to make rude comments on your Myspace page as well if you friend me! Here is handy slideshow of a few feisty felines from www.meankitty.com , and after that some of my book covers.

My Interests

Writing, reading, updating www.meankitty.com , chasing my kids around while pretending to be a ravening beast, sewing, collecting vintage clothing, telling my husband I didn't have time to clean house or cook because I was too busy chasing the kids around, eating dark chocolate, and biting off more than I can chew (but not of dark chocolate, because that stuff melts in your mouth, man!)

I'd like to meet:

Myself, in an alternate timeline, so I can warn myself not to do I-know-what. I'd say "you-know-what", but it's likely you don't know

Music:

My brother is in several rock bands, and my mom is in a bluegrass band. They both play bass.

Television:

Heroes, LOST, BSG, the StarGates, Ugly Betty, The Office, Smallville (so I can hate it), Supernatural, Jericho, The Dresden Files -- basically the woo-woo stuff. From days of yore: Firefly, Buffy, Angel, Northern Exposure, Now and Again, Dark Angel, Cupid, and Farscape.

My Blog

June Bloggy Round-up

In June, my kids were home all month. No more school. At first, I thought I was going to end up having more time since they'd entertain each other, and the reverse turned out to be true. Then I though...

May Bloggy Roundup

May has not been a talkative month for yours truly, at least not talk of the bloggy variety. As 1's first year of school coiled to an end, there were many parties and celebrations to begrudgingly volu...

February Bloggy Round-Up

For a short month, February felt a lot longer than it was! Part of the reason is because various persons in my family including myself spent a week here or there sick and miserable, which always cause...

January Bloggy Round-Up

In January I made no resolutions, although I toyed ended in a significant incident: school got cancelled at the last minute on the day I'd reserved for promo and career-related stuff, and so everythin...

December Bloggy Round-Up

The month of December is always a busy one, unless, of course, you're avoiding people, crowds and public places with your croup-prone baby, in which case it's a one in which you let a lot of stuff sli...

October Bloggy Round-up

October has been busier than usual, insofar as family matters are concerned. We saw Rock City, went out in public dressed as the Scooby Gang, and spent a week without the man of the house when he went...
