No Obligation - A female fronted rock/acoustic outfit made up of Alex Taylor, Carl 'Crambo' Grainger, Greg Harper, and XND Radio DJ Deano Jeffery
It has been a busy 12 months for the band with Alex being heard on BBC Radio 1 and many other stations across the UK with her work singing on DT8 Project's track ''hold me til the end''. She also features on their album ''perfect world'' which includes a Duet with Gwen Stefanis Husband Gavin Rossdale, lead singer/guitarist of Bush.
2007 has seen No Obligation change its line up with New bassist Greg Harper. Together, they have made notable appearances at festivals including the first ever 'Ferafest'. In the summer the band gave a blistering performance at the Pontardawe international music festival(their third invite there in a row) and in July, they played along side world class players at the Gower guitar festival. This year also saw No Obligation headlining club re-launches, various venues across South Wales and a headline performance at the first ever Deuce artist management showcase gig in Swansea.
The band have grown a loyal following and have a diverse sound, including a very chilled out relaxing acoustic sound and a hard rockin whiskey drinking rock and roll side. They have become Swanseas' number one female fronted rock band and have used this to help their community by helping towards raising over £2000 for Swansea hospitals and air ambulance playing at various fund raising events.
Guitarist Deano has been supporting Swanseas' music scene and local bands with his work for XND Radio, hosting a weekly rock show (which airs up and coming bands from all over the world as well as established ones) on the station he helped start up with an american friend a few years back. The USA based station and XND Network has grown from strenth to strenth recieving thousands upon thousands of hits to the site every month. Computer giants Apple (creators of the ipod) have added XND Radio to its station list.
