Welcome to the Myspace page of The Full Ponty Festival, Wales’ premier music event. 2007 marks the second year of The Full Ponty Festival, which is held in Pontypridd’s beautiful Ynysangharad Park
.
This year the Full Ponty Festival will consist on One Big Day in the Park, with some of the best names in Welsh, British and Transatlantic rock music coming together! An amazing 21 bands will make up a crowd rocking bill across The Main Stage, The Atrium Stage and the 1000 capacity Coca-Cola Tent! .
The main day will also be supported by the Full Ponty Fringe Festival, which will take place in several venues around Pontypridd Town Centre in the week running up to the big one! The Full Ponty Fringe Festival will feature top comedy, music and community arts workshops, with something for everybody to enjoy.
As for the bands, well, check these out! The Full Ponty 2007 will see Welsh superstars Lostprophets return to their roots on May the 26th, as their Final Transmission Tour culminates with the band’s first ever major concert in their hometown of Pontypridd.
Main support comes from chart stars The Automatic, Californian ska-punksters, Reel Big Fish, the hottest UK Punk band around Gallows, US Pop-punks Paramore, Canadian Emo-rockers Silverstein, UK Hardcore contenders The Ghost of a Thousand, Wales’ bright new hopes Kids In Glass Houses.
The bill also features the absolute cream of up and coming Welsh talent in the form of The Blackout, Dopamine, Miss Conduct, Viva Machine, The New 1920, The Future, Gethin Pearson and The Scenery, Friend Electric, The Guns, Along Came Man and Eric Unseen.
With a bill stacked full of exciting talent stretched over 3 stages and a festival site packed with stalls and a funfair, The Full Ponty ’07 will look to provide the full festival experienced, compressed down in to one rockin’ day in Ynysangharad Park.
