The lovers, the haters, and people who like to eat. Also, meeting any major Museum Directors/Curators, Damien Hirst, Christo, and Jeff Koons would be lovely.
Lately I've been listening to Spiritualized, Caribou's latest album, old Jesus and Mary Chain, Cure, Doves, and Múm. Bands like Godspeed You Black Emperor!, Explosions In the Sky, The Flaming Lips, Mogwai, Mono (Japan), Sigur Rós, Muse, Cornelius, M83, Aphex Twin, Autechre, Squarepusher, Prefuse 73, Richard Devine, Hrvatski, are usually in heavy rotation in the Shedio. I also listen to lots of NPR. I'm particularly fond of "This American Life"
Films by: Wes Anderson, Darren Aronofsky, David Fincher, Peter Jackson, Jean-Pierre Jeunet, Quentin Tarantino, etc. Also, Violent Asian Action cinema, and over hyped bad summer movies
Some of Toonami, Adult Swim, Daily Show, Family Guy, FLCL, PBS, History Channel, Discovery Channel, Anthony Bourdain No Reservations, Weird Foods
Lots of Manga like Deathnote, Kurosagi Corpse Delivery Service, Pure Trance, Path of the Assassin, Lone Wolf & Cub, Shogun Assassin, D.Gray-Man, and Claymore, have been on my nightstand. I just picked up the MURAKAMI book from the MOCA store and have been READING it (not just looking at the pictures), and I'm reading "Collecting Contemporary" (which one of the most fascinating books I've read concerning the Contemporary Art World, and its business end)
