Name: Daniel (Danny/Dann) Adams
Current Band: A Vicious Cycle (AVC)
Years playing: 10
Type of bass played: Spector Q5 (Black Cherry)
Amplification: Crate BT220
Misc. Gear: Line 6 POD Pro (as a preamp); BBE 362 Sonic Maximizer; ART PB 4x4 Power Conditioner.

Influences: Cliff Burton; Steve Harris; Geezer Butler; Billy Sheehan; Lee Sklar.

Bio/background: I started playing bass because it only had four strings and I figured it would be easier. All of my influences were finger players so I followed suit. I'm not nearly as good as I should be for the years I've played. I guess that's the beauty of being a metal bass player. :P

Name: Jeremy Bennett
Current Band: Hollow
Years playing: 7
Type of bass(es) played: Spector 5 String Euro, Wood finish, neck-thru body, EMG's, Schecter 5 string, 5 string EDA Ibanez Bass

Bio/background: Started playing when i was 15, inspired by Korn & Metallica. I would watch their Music videos & I was like, damn I gotta be a part of this! I only missed one day of playing since i started out of my 7 years, 'Cause when i was 19 I got so sick I couldn't even get up or move! I thought I was gonna die! That's what it took to keep me away from it... So maybe now you understand, I am very, very determined. I have not Met anyone as determined as me about this..., & anyone who is, I respect that. But bass has been my life!!!

Name: Trey Bond
Current Band: Mardom
Years Playing: 2
Bass(es) Played: Ibanez
Amplification: Fender Rumble
Misc. Gear: Digitech BP200

Influences: Matt Freeman, Flea, Les Claypool, victor Wooten, Danny Growl, Billy Sheehan, Stu Hamm, Krist Novaselic

Bio/background: Well the reason I started was because I thought my friends and I were going to do a Nirvana cover band. But in doing so we totally sucked. After that I started out listening to the punk scene of Rancid. Matt Freeman was my real first influence. After that I got into RHCP and the I heard of Victor Wooten. Pretty soon I learned to love all these amazing soul/jazzy bassists. Les Claypool was formed in there somehow. But now I’m in a band called Mardom. We wanted it to be spelled Martyrdom, but have it pronounced Mardom. Weird I know. Anyways, we are a metal band…were not too bad actually. But that’s how it all began really.

Bio/background: I originally set out to be a guitarist, and was no good, I didn't have the ear for it at the time. I always loved bass tone, but never knew what it was exactly. The idea of a band and my playing bass all started because of local rock legends LIQUID6TEEN, if it weren't for them I probably would have never thought of picking up a bass. Outside of that we all picked up instruments and went from there... the rest is history, and it's looking good from here on out!

Misc. Thoughts: Bass is all about what you feel and can move too. My job on and off the stage is to create a mood with my playing, and make you move to the bass.

After about 2 months of messin around, i got really into it and have progressed alot since. Dirk Lance (formerlly of Incubus) is my idol. I play mostly finger style, but i really enjoy some slap bass and i mess around with tapping stuff also. I'm an incredibly driven player. Name: Ryan McLoughlin
Current Band: 13th Borne
Years played: 7
Bass(es) Played: Warwick 5-String
Amplification: Ampeg B2-RE 2x10's and 2x15's
Misc. Gear: None

Influences: Ryan Martinie, Jeph Howard, Victor Wooten, Jaco, Flea, and Matt Freeman.

Bio/Background: I started playing in a couple bands stretching across many different genres, all of which prepared me for the band I helped start in November 2003, 13th Borne. I mainly play fingerstyle with a large dose of slap/pop, and I rarely use a pick, only when it really fits the song. My credits and accomplishments include releasing a full-length CD with 13th Borne after being together for only six months, played Germain Amphitheater opening for Lynyrd Skynyrd, and played CBGB's in New York city in front of MTV.com camera's (they were getting footage for a documentary on underground bands).

My goal is to constantly improve my playing to be the most well-rounded, melodic, and technical bass player possible...oh and to one day find a strap that will support my Warwick so I can take off the half-role of black duct tape I have to use so it doesn't detach in the middle of a show!

Ryan Currently does not have a personal page, contact him through the band site.

Influences: Billy Gould, Cliff Burton, Steve Harris, Geezer Butler, Geddy Lee, Les Claypool, Tim Commerford, Fieldy, Justin Chancellor, Flea, Jaco....

Bio/background: Started playing seriously in 1990, back in Jacksonville, Florida in a band Called Sakajaweeda. Moved to Columbus in 1997 and played in a few local bands including Further Lo. Hooked up with some of the most talented musicians a few years ago to form Thirty Ought Six. Released a seven song EP with them in 2005, Represented Columbus in the Zippo Hot Tour Finals in 2006, and am currently working with the band finishing up our first full-length release called "Amazing Attractions for Rebellion" due out in March of 2007.

Misc. Thoughts: It doesn't matter what brand you play or how you play it as long as you do it with pride, feeling, and conviction. LOW END 4 LIFE! Columbus is slowly becoming a musical city that the rest of the nation will soon have to stand up and take notice. My hat goes off to all the musicians and clubs in this town. Keep it real - Support local music!

The cover bands that have kept a roof over my head include The Radio Hounds, Rockhouse, and now The Filthy Habits.

Name: Dustin Rinehart
Current Band: ForTheDrive
Years Playing: 3 years for bass. I've had other roles in previous bands (vox, guitar, etc.)
Bass(es) Played: 2 Fender Jazz basses
Amplification: Gallien Krueger 1001RB-II, Ampeg SVT-215E
Misc. Gear: I'm partial to the ProCo RAT, but I don't use it in FTD.

Influences: Nate Mendel, Sergio Vega, John Paul Jones, Alan Robert, Greg Edwards, Duff McKagan, Henry Bogdan, Jason Black, Mark Nye...this could go on forever.

Bio/background: I was in Me Times Ten from '01 to '03 on vocals, played guitar very briefly for Closer Than Far, laid dormant for about a year, and then took up bass to join Kobrakhai. We were together from about '04 to July '06 when I left to join ForTheDrive which is who I'm currently with. I'm not a flashy, technical bass player by any means. I'm all about the meat and potatoes and being in the pocket. I play with a pick and I'm not ashamed to admit it. I try to do what is best for the song instead of playing for the other bass players in the room. I like a nice, dirty, distorted bass tone when it's called for. I also like green beers.

Misc. Thoughts: This profile is pretty rad. We live in a world where nobody cares about the bass player so it's nice to get a little recognition for a change!! We're part of the foundation, dammit!! We're usually the best looking guys in the band too.
