RICHIE ALBRIGHT- (Musician/Producer/Songwriter) Original drummer and right-hand man for Waylon Jennings who began playing with Waylon & the Waylors in 1964 touring & recording for decades. In 1998, The Waylors (Richie, Rance Wasson, Gordon Payne, Jerry Bridges, Fred Newell, Barny Robertson & Carter Robertson along with guest, Mark Collie) paid tribute to Waylon during Chet Atkins Musician's Day "Chettie Award" Show performing at The Ryman. The tribute rekindled Waylon's outlaw spirit & passion for playing music & touring, he was fired up, ready to rock, forming his legendary twelve piece band, The Waymore Blues Band (Waylon, Richie, Reggie Young, Robby Turner, Barny Robertson, Rance Wasson, Jenny Lynn, Jerry Bridges, Jim Horn, Charles Rose, Steve Herrman and Carter Robertson). Hitting the road once again, they did rock-n-roll down the highway touring until 2002.
Richie's now recording & touring with the one-&-only original Lady Outlaw, Jessi Colter. Richie produced his first movie soundtrack for Roy Roger's MacIntosh & TJ film, the music for the first series of the Dukes of Hazzard TV show, and produced several albums on Waylon, Jessi, and many other friends over the past thirty+ years, Hank Williams Jr, Billy Joe Shaver, Goose Creek Symphony, and David Lynn Jones to name a few. He's still producing and playing with many Nashville friends & bands, a bandmember with Homer Dever Band, Goose Creek Symphony, and The Ballistic Pintos.
