G.S. Harper, Cleveland singer/songwriter, is a busy guy. He maintains a heavy performance schedule with his good friend, musical co-conspiritor, and music business partner Andrew Zeager. Together they perform well written and uniquely American music, with strong vocals and vivid lyrical imagery. The thirty-five year old San Angelo, Texas native has spent the last twenty-odd years of his life entertaining folks all over the country. They come from all walks of life, and all rungs of the social ladder, to walk into rooms that range from friendly twenty-seat corner bars, to some of the most respected independant live music venues in the nation. They all want the same thing. Just to sit down, grab a drink, and listen. You see, G.S. doesn't just write songs, he writes stories, and most folks don't have to wait too long to get caught up in one of them and drift back in time to a home town, an old friend lost, or an old lover they'd all but forgotten. The vocals are smoky and sincere, and the writing and presentation are friendly, universal, and at times, prophetic, and a little too close to home for some people's emotional comfort. Zeager's harmony vocals, and skilled and soulful guitar playing are the perfect accompaniment, and during the course of their musical association, the two have shared stages with Blue Rodeo, Stacy Earle and Mark Stuart, Commander Cody, Tim Easton, Chris Knight, Tommy Womack, Fred Eaglesmith, Panama Red, Mary Cutrufello, Brock Zeman, Beaver Nelson, David Childers, Bill Noonan, and many local and regional favorites. G.S. has been nominated for two Cleveland Free Times Music Awards in the Best Country/Americana category (2006 and 2007), and in October of 2006, G.S. and The Lonesome Tomatoes released the CD "Live From Cleveland". Although now out of print, the disc gained the guys a solid reputation, and a loyal following in the Cleveland area and beyond. Currently, big things are on the horizon. Harper and Zeager recently completed a brand new studio album, that is available NOW at all live shows. Or, you can just click this button. C'mon, I dare ya.
