I'm a feisty 47 year old Irish-American redhead and administrative professional, from the Midwest (Michigan).
I'm also a single mom, and blessed with three wonderful children.
My oldest son is a United States Marine... and I'm a VERY proud Marine mom!
I'm a traditional Irish musician (accordion, harp, Celtic whistle both high and low, bodhran, spoons/hand percussion, currently learning fiddle), sean nós singer, and traditional Irish social dancer (ceili and set).
I'm also a professional vocalist with 15 years of formal training, and an extensive background in opera and classical performance.
I'm a published writer, small business owner, prolific blogger, and accomplished gardener. I enjoy reading, writing, poetry, photography, travel, gourmet cooking, traditional folk music and dance, and cultural studies.
I'm also a naturalist and outdoor enthusiast, and I enjoy fishing, hunting, swimming, sailing, hiking, camping, and horseback riding.
Folk music and dance are my passion, and I enjoy attending
Celtic/Folk festivals and workshops throughout the state of Michigan year 'round.
I'm also a weekly participant in the finest traditional Irish music session in the state of Michigan... hosted every Wednesday evening, by the Fenians' Irish Pub in the wee village of Conklin.
