I consider myself to be a person who thrives on the path less taken. However, no matter how hard I try to be different, I find I am quite average. Lately I've been noticing some people must find me a little different or at least a little unique.

Over the years I have moved from one genre to the next, mostly avoiding anything commercial, "American Pop Music" and over time I have favorited everything from Classical to Punk and just about everything in between. I find now, I'm drawn to a genre that I loved as a child, world music- traditional music and trad influenced music from any where and every where. Through the sounds and lyrics one can, if for only a few moments, be drawn away from their common, commercial, suburbanite, force fed white bread world. It's nice to sample what the world has to offer beyond what commercial radio gets paid to broadcast.

Movies:

Television:

SciFi and News junky. The real world is stressful enough, so after hours of listening to or watching the news, sometimes it's nice to just escape into fantasy.

Books:

Almost any non-fiction for research. I prefer to write fiction than read it.

Heroes:

My heros are those who are closest to my heart, my nieces and nephews, my parents, my siblings and all those I call Family especially all those Active Enlisted, Reserve and Retired, from all branches of the US Military and all the men and women they serve(d) with, who dedicate their lives to protecting our country and defending democracy.
