About Me

............................................................ ............................................................ .......................................... MyGen Profile Generator MyGen Profile Generator
42-year-old single male with a really nice personality. My mother told me so.
Generally I'm a really shy guy in person but not so much by computer. This is probably due to the fact that I have probably communicated more by computer then in person. I've been working with on and infatuated by computers since I was around 14. Yes I was a teenage geek.
I think some people take my shyness and often silence in person for arrogance or possibly dislike but really I rarely meet people that I outright dislike.
I was also raised fairly strictly and manners are just a built in thing that I have a hard time overcoming. I have a terrible time interrupting a conversation to put my two cents in unless there is a break in the talk.
I find few things important enough to have a confrontation about and am often amazed at how upset some people become over trivial matters.
I'm on pessimistic optimist. I really think that generally things turn out good in the long run but that we generally find ways to really screw them up. People just don't spend enough time thinking for themselves and let others lead them, often times into bad situations.
I love reading and watching non-fiction stuff. Especially but not limited to technology. Histories up there too. I'm a bad day dreamer spending a lot of time thinking/fantasizing about how to solve problems and what the future will be like based on current and upcoming technology. The next 30-40 years I think will be one heck of a ride. Hope I'm around to see it.
Religion wise I think they are all superstitions and that not one has their finger on any specific truth. If I had to pick one I'd probably be Buddhist. I believe in a lot of their wisdom but once it gets into supernatural stuff I go back to calling it superstition. Meditation is great. I don't do it enough anymore though I used to when I was a kid.
