the rainbow is no less beautiful for having been refracted
into its component colors. Au contraire, reductionism has
allowed us to discover wonders far beyond anything the poets
of past centuries could imagine—from the "breathtaking poetry
of modern cosmology" to the poetic
improbabilities of our personal existence. R DawkinsTHERE WILL COME A TIME WHEN OUR DESCENDANTS WILL
BE AMAZED THAT WE DID NOT KNOW THINGS
THAT ARE SO PLAIN TO THEM :)

A solar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes between Earth and the Sun, thereby totally or partially obscuring Earth's view of the Sun. This configuration can only occur during a new moon, when the Sun and Moon are in conjunction as seen from the Earth. In ancient times, and in some cultures today, solar eclipses are attributed to mythical properties. Total solar eclipses can be frightening events for people unaware of their astronomical nature, as the Sun suddenly disappears in the middle of the day and the sky darkens in a matter of minutes. However, the spiritual attribution of solar eclipses is now largely disregarded.Energy levels (also referred to as electron shells) are located a certain "distance" from the nucleus. The major energy levels into which electrons fit, are (from the nucleus outward) K, L, M, and N. Sometimes these are numbered, with electron configurations being: 1s22s22p1, (where the first shell K is indicated with the number 1, the second shell L with the number 2, etc.). This nomenclature tells us that for the atom mentioned in this paragraph, the first energy level (shell) has two electrons in its s orbital (the only orbital it can have), and second energy level has a maximum of two electrons in its s orbital, plus one electron in its p orbital. A conversation between Einstein and Heisenberg.~~~~Heisenberg: "One cannot observe the electron orbits inside the atom. [...] but since it is reasonable to consider only those quantities in a theory that can be measured, it seemed natural to me to introduce them only as entities, as representatives of electron orbits, so to speak."Einstein: "But you don't seriously believe that only observable quantities should be considered in a physical theory?""I thought this was the very idea that your Relativity Theory is based on?" Heisenberg asked in surprise."Perhaps I used this kind of reasoning," replied Einstein, "but it is nonsense nevertheless. [...] In reality the opposite is true: only the theory decides what can be observed."Solvay physics conference 1927
