About Me

I am kind of an odd person. I like all kinds of music and my passion is for research. If it's a new topic, I want to know more. That is why I love all types of people. Everyone has a story. I have been taught things from everyone I have met (even those I have met briefly). For some reason the music I play when I am happy lacks depth. Maybe because in order to be happy I have to stop thinking too much. Or maybe because I am a Pisces and I am constantly studying and need some creative down time. Either way I am not sure why most of the music on this page isn't classical or Opera, but that type of music just didn't seem right for this page. The more I can learn, the better. I am fascinated with how the mind works and how the mind relates and transforms the body. I like exploring religion due to the heavy effect belief has on people's lives. I love learning about everything, honestly. My dream is to one day have a library full of old books in their original binding. Not regular books though. I want old religious books and health manuals. Books of that nature. When I watched the Ninth Gate I was very envious of their collections. A lot of people say I look deceiving. I don't look like a bookworm or someone who cares about studies. But I have always been misunderstood regarding how I look. Its a bit frustrating. If people would just talk to me they would know lol. I am a pretty straight forward person and don't like superficiality. So if you are looking for someone to talk badly about friends with or just want me to be your friend temporarily until the people you really want to hang out are free, look elsewhere. I am willing to be a friend to anyone who is willing to be one back. I'm not interested in people who still have a high school mentality. My relationships are a colorful tree and my friendships are a close knit of a few brilliant stars. Don't waste my time being flaky. That also applies to relationships. I am bi sexual but I do not sleep around. If I am dating a girl my heart belongs to ONLY her and the same goes for guys. I don't fall in love based on sex or physical attraction. That is why I do not understand people who discriminate against bi people. Not all Bisexual people like random sex or like to sleep around. Well, at least I don't. I can't (and won't) vouch for my ex girlfriends' ability to stay faithful.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

The only sadness in life is in perception. I know that my emotions belong to me, and that people can't hurt me but my emotions towards them can. I have no hatred for anyone. And when I get upset, I must look within myself to realize why this is. Emotional trauma and pain is based on the perception of the situation they have experienced.
Changing the perception of the world around you is hard, but life becomes easier when you take control of what you are and how you perceive whats around you. Responsibility for one's self isn't perfect and its very rare to find someone who has. But I strive to be responsible for my emotions and when things get tough try to look at it positively.

A lot of people ask me what kind of people I am attracted to. The closest thing I can do to explain is to show you the celebrities I am attracted to and why. The pictures are mostly entertaining, at least for me lol. Here you go.

I love Spock because he is intelligent, logical, faithful and dreamy~! I wish he was real. We could have many conversations about the human psyche and the flaws of life. Gives me butterflies.

Christina Ricci always had an eerie beauty to her. Ricci owns her own production company, Blaspheme Films, responsible for Prozac Nation and Pumpkin.

Scarlett Johansson has a Marilyn Monroe type beauty. She isn't a stick and she's witty. About George W. Bush's reelection she said, "I am disappointed. I think it was a disappointment for a large percentage of the population." Another quote: “I hope they make a video game of me. At least I wouldn't have any cellulite then.”

Alan Rickman is a pisces. Hehe. He is also a witty man. Here's a quote: "It's disgusting and wonderful. Like going to Dunkin' Donuts for lunch every day." Another:"I'm a Piscean. In every area of my life complete opposites are at work all the time." Yes, I am aware of how old he is. I've noticed I am mostly attracted to wit. Marilyn Monroe said if you can make a girl laugh, you can make her do anything. I think if you can make a girl think and laugh, you can make her fall in love.

You are a Creator
Your imagination, confidence, willingness to explore, and appreciation of beauty make you a CREATOR. You are independent, and you enjoy your self-sufficiency. Defying convention, you are very innovative, and you have a vivid imagination. The look of things is important to you, and you have a keen eye for aesthetic beauty in multiple arenas. You have a strong interest in what is new and exciting—and that includes forging ahead with new ideas, not simply discovering what is already out there. Your eagerness to seek new and varied experiences leads you into many different situations. You're not set on one way of doing things, and you are creative when it comes to finding novel solutions to complex problems. You trust yourself to be innovative and resourceful. Your confidence allows you to take your general awareness and channel it into creativity. You're not afraid to let your emotions guide you, and you're generally considerate of others' feelings as well. You prefer to have time to plan for things, feeling better with a schedule than with keeping plans up in the air until the last minute. You do your own thing when it comes to clothing, guided more by practical concerns than by other people's notions of style. The control you feel over your life is empowering to you-- you believe in your abilities and acknowledge your shortcomings. Explanations of the world that focus on destiny or fate don't really interest you. You take responsibility for what goes wrong in your life, and also for what goes well. Appreciate the earthly, practical elements of things—there is beauty in form as well. While you are good at thinking abstractly, focusing on details a bit more may help you discover things about the world.

how you relate to others
You are Animated
You are outgoing, comfortable with others, and up for anything, which makes you ANIMATED. Some people find crowds and parties exhausting, but not you! You are able to be yourself in many situations. Sometimes it is hard for you to understand why others feel the way they do, but that doesn't stop you from trusting them or having faith that they are good people. You know the world is complicated and that there is often more than one side to a story, so you are careful not to make judgments about others too hastily. You would rather experience the world than sit back and observe it—you are not one to sit on the sidelines. You are an independent thinker and don't get too worried about how others might perceive you—you are not self-conscious about being the active, engaged person that you are. Although you have a keen understanding of different people's life circumstances, you occasionally have trouble seeing why people get so upset and emotional about things—they should just lighten up and have fun! In addition to having faith in the world, you have faith in the people around you—you trust others to do the right thing and to be honest. Remember that time alone can be just as fulfilling as time spent with others—take some time for yourself and you might find that there are many things in your inner world that are just as compelling as the world outside your window. Your open-mindedness about the ways of world gives you an understanding of people's differences, but that knowledge doesn't always translate into sympathy. Don't be afraid to let your trust and understanding influence your feelings.

Relax

*Autogenic relaxation. Autogenic means something that comes from within you. In this technique, you use both visual imagery and body awareness to reduce stress. You repeat words or suggestions in your mind to help you relax and reduce muscle tension. You may imagine a peaceful place and then focus ..led, relaxing breathing, slowing your heart rate, or different physical sensations, such as relaxing each arm or leg one by one.

*Progressive muscle relaxation. In this technique, you focus on slowly tensing and then relaxing each muscle group. This helps you focus on the difference between muscle tension and relaxation, and you become more aware of physical sensations. You may choose to start by tensing and relaxing the muscles in your toes and progressively working your way up to your neck and head. Tense your muscles for at least five seconds and then relax for 30 seconds, and repeat.

*Visualization. In this technique, you form mental images to take a visual journey to a peaceful, calming place or situation. Try to use as many senses as you can, including smells, sights, sounds and textures. If you imagine relaxing at the ocean, for instance, think about the warmth of the sun, the sound of crashing waves, the feel of the grains of sand and the smell of salt water. You may want to close your eyes, sit in a quiet spot and loosen any tight clothing.

Meditate for Inner Wellbeing

* Breathe deeply. This technique is good for beginners because breathing is a natural function. Focus all attention on your breathing. Concentrate on feeling and listening as you inhale and exhale through your nostrils. Breathe deeply and slowly. When you feel your attention wander, gently return your focus to your breathing.

* Scan your body. When using this technique, focus attention on different parts of your body. Become aware of your body's various sensations, whether that's pain, tension, warmth or relaxation. Combine body scanning with breathing exercises and imagine breathing heat or relaxation into and out of different parts of your body.

* Repeat a sacred name or phrase. A mantra is the name of a sacred deity or a sacred phrase that you repeat silently or aloud. You can create your own mantra. Mantras are the building blocks of transcendental meditation. Examples of religious mantras include a Jesus prayer in the Christian tradition, the holy name of God in Judaism, or the Om mantra of Hinduism, Buddhism and other Eastern religions.

* Walking meditation. Combining a walk with meditation is an efficient and healthy way to relax. You can use this technique anywhere you're walking — in a tranquil forest, on a city sidewalk or at the mall. When you use this method, slow down the pace of walking so that you can focus on each movement of your legs or feet. Don't focus on a particular destination. Concentrate on your legs and feet, repeating action words in your mind such as lifting, moving and placing as you lift each foot, move your leg forward and place your foot on the ground.

* Engage in prayer. Prayer is the best known and most widely practiced example of meditation. Spoken and written prayers are found in most faith traditions. You can pray using your own words or read prayers written by others. Check the self-help or 12-step-recovery section of your local bookstore for examples. Talk with your rabbi, priest, pastor or other spiritual leader about resources.

* Read or listen and take time to reflect. Many people report that they benefit from reading poems or sacred texts silently or aloud, and taking a few moments to quietly reflect on the meaning that the words bring to mind. You can listen to sacred music, spoken words or any music you find relaxing or inspiring. You may want to write your reflections in a journal or discuss them with a friend or spiritual leader.

* Focus your love and gratitude. In this type of meditation, you focus your attention on a sacred object or being, weaving feelings of love and gratitude into your thoughts. You can also close your eyes and use your imagination or gaze at representations of the object.
BLUE

You give your love and friendship unconditionally. You enjoy long, thoughtful conversations rich in philosophy and spirituality. You are very loyal and intuitive.

Tai chi, sometimes called tai chi chuan, is a noncompetitive, self-paced system of gentle physical exercise and stretching. To do tai chi, you perform a series of postures or movements in a slow, graceful manner. Each posture flows into the next without pausing.

Anyone, regardless of age or physical ability, can practice tai chi. It doesn't take physical prowess. Rather, tai chi emphasizes technique over strength.

Tai chi is used to:

* Reduce stress * Increase flexibility * Improve muscle strength and definition * Increase energy, stamina and agility * Increase feelings of well-being

Tai chi has more than 100 possible movements and positions. You can find several that you like and stick with those, or explore the full range. The intensity of tai chi varies somewhat depending on the form or style practiced. Some forms of tai chi are more fast-paced than others, for instance. However, most forms are gentle and suitable for everyone. And they all include rhythmic patterns of movement that are coordinated with breathing.

Although tai chi is generally safe, consider talking with your doctor before starting a new program. This is particularly important if you have any problems with your joints, spine or heart. Stress reduction and other benefits of tai chi

Like other practices that bring mind and body together, tai chi can reduce stress. During tai chi, you focus on movement and breathing. This combination creates a state of relaxation and calm. Stress, anxiety and tension should melt away as you focus on the present, and the effects may last well after you stop your tai chi session.

Tai chi may also help your overall health, although it's not a substitute for traditional medical care. Tai chi is generally safe for people of all ages and levels of fitness. Older adults may especially find tai chi appealing because the movements are low impact and put minimal stress on muscles and joints. Tai chi may also be helpful if you have arthritis or are recovering from an injury.

Despite its ancient history, tai chi has been studied scientifically only in recent years. And that research is suggesting that tai chi may offer numerous other benefits beyond stress reduction, including:

* Reducing anxiety and depression * Improving balance and coordination * Reducing the number of falls * Improving sleep quality, such as staying asleep longer at night and feeling more alert during the day * Slowing bone loss in women after menopause * Lowering blood pressure * Improving cardiovascular fitness * Relieving chronic pain * Improving everyday physical functioning

Learning to do tai chi

Wondering how to get started in tai chi? You don't need any special clothing or equipment to do tai chi. To gain full benefits, however, it may be best to seek guidance from a qualified tai chi instructor.

A tai chi instructor can teach you specific positions and how to regulate your breathing. An instructor also can teach you how to practice tai chi safely, especially if you have injuries, chronic conditions, or balance or coordination problems. Although tai chi is slow and gentle, with virtually no negative side effects, injuries are possible if tai chi isn't done properly. It's possible you could strain yourself or overdo it when first learning. Or if you have balance problems, you could fall during tai chi.

You can find tai chi classes in many communities today. Contact your local senior center, YMCA or YWCA, health club, community education center or wellness facility for help finding qualified instructors.

During tai chi classes, the instructor can give you personal guidance and correct any errors in your style before they become habit. Eventually, you may feel confident enough to do tai chi on your own. But if you like the social element, consider sticking with group classes.

Putting tai chi into practice

To reap the greatest stress reduction benefits from tai chi, consider practicing it regularly. Many people find it helpful to practice tai chi in the same place and at the same time every day to develop a routine. But if your schedule is erratic, do tai chi whenever you have a few minutes.

You can even draw on the soothing concepts of tai chi without performing the actual movements if you get stuck in stressful situations — a traffic jam or a work conflict, for instance.
