THE ART OF EOS.-

A GIRL NAMED, IDANIA EOS.-"For me insanity is super sanity. Normal is psychotic. Normal means lack of imagination ... lack of creativity and creativity is a drug I cannot live without"Idania Eos (known to her fans simply as Eos) was born on May 28, 1979 in Oceanside, California, and grew up as a child in Spain. At a very young age she discovered art.“I have to thank my mother for the person that I am today and for the love and the passion and the gigantic admiration and the jumbo respect I have for art. I was born blessed with the spirit of art, but my mother definitely is to blame for her daughter turning an artist. I remember my mom coming back from the store one day and handing me a paper bag. Inside of the bag was something that without me knowing would change my life for ever. Inside the bag was a box of crayons and a Smurfs' coloring book. I was four and from that point on I never, ever laid down the crayon, the pencil or the paper. It was the beginning of everything for me.”By the time she was 8, Eos was already creating her own characters, but it wasn't until she moved back to the States at the age of 11 that she found her niche in comic books."Even though I was very young when I first started drawing my own characters, I developed this insane need to find my own style ... Yes! Even an 11 year old is capable of such stress. When my mom first took me to an American Mall, I remember going to a comic book store and I was just blown away. Comics save my life. I knew then the direction I wanted to take as an artist and finally was able to find my niche and it helped me beyond human comprehension in developing my own style and my identity as an artist."Exposed to the world of comics she started writing her own storylines and creating her own comic books in the comfort of her bedroom floor. In 1995 she submitted several samples of her work to Marvel Comics, and several animation studios, including the Walt Disney Studios,, but after years of trying and not getting the 'Golden Opportunity', as she puts it, she decided to give up the fight as an illustrator and turned to Graphic Design. In 2001 Eos graduated with a degree in Computer Arts. Her works sought life in several magazines and CD covers for local bands, as well as corporate identity in the Bay Area. In 2005 and after several years of trying to earn a living as a designer she met Keith Vu and together founded KAIEOS Design Studio,; a design studio committed to produce creative and strategic functional design solutions in graphic design, web design, video production, print, photography, and even comics.Eos, is currently working on two comic book titles; APPLE: The Curse of Adam which will debut late 2008 and Skully : The Pirate which will debut early 2008, along with several other projects including a toy line.
