About Me

First & foremost...I am a Dad. This is my pride & joy puttin on a lightshow in the basement 12/06.
36 year old freelance artist/illustrator that is currently dabbling in a little of everything. Mostly make a living providing screenprint/t-shirt companies around the country with illustrations & seps for printing on t-shirts. I've done tee designs for WWE, NCAA, NFL, Disney, Universal, Rainforest Cafe, King Features Syndicate, Blues Traveler, Yonder Mt. String Band, & Blue Collar Comedy Tour just to name a few.
Also provided some work/cartoons for CRACKED Magazine, and am currently working on my developing my own comic book idea with Platinum Studios, Red Mullet & Cow-Boy.
Just launched my own tee line this year too, KenFunky Tees. Feel free to check out some art & let me know what you think...or you can also check out my outdated website @ www.chuppeart.com.

My Interests

Mainly drawing & being a Dad takes up most of my time. Several different types/formats of art, comics, music, movies, lifting, PS2, outdoors, camping, mt.biking, climbing, hackey, fishin, hurtin' myself playin softball, and playin Guitar Hero. Basically too many interests w/not enough time to do em all.

I'd like to meet:

Anyone that's a fan of my tees and/or comic art. Besides my comic characters Red Mullet & Cow-Boy, I've also released my own tee line, Kenfunky Tees. (See my top two friends for both).

Music:

Hard to know where to begin cause this is a wide range. Like everything from Beasties to Bluegrass. In no particular order: Blues Traveler, Yonder Mountain, U2, Allmans, Derek Trucks, Widespread, Nappy Roots, MOE, OAR, North Miss All Stars, John Williams, Hans Zimmer, Honest MC, Greg Brown, Steve Earle, Big Head Todd, Subdudes, Jason & The Scorchers, Morphine, Dave, Southern Culture, Keller Williams, The Cult, Bawn in the Mash, Cash, Floyd, Dead, Stones, Robert Bradley, Hackensaw Boys, Zepplin, Nickel Creek, John Prine, The Galoots, My Morning Jacket, Old Crow Med Show, Bob Marley, Tenacious D, Public Enemy, Guitar Hero Soundtracks, (what a mix, right? More comin soon...)

Movies:

(Geek at heart): Batman Begins, Star Wars Trilogy(s), Hellboy, Spiderman(s), Dawn of the Dead, Lord of the Rings Trilogy, The Usual Suspects, Pulp Fiction, X-Men(s), JAWS, 40 Year Old Virgin, Old School, Office Space, Dancin' Outlaw, The Incredibles, American Werewolf in London, Cars, King Kong/Peter Jackson, Dazed & Confused, Big Lebowski, Kingpin, Caddyshack, Shawshank, Raiders/Indiana Jones flicks, Transformers, Superbad, (list goes on).

Television:

Not much on tv to name really... The Simpsons, The Office, Survivor (also applied for 5 times and goin' on 6 soon), Deadwood, Sopranos, Seinfeld reruns, Venture Bros., Metalocolypse, Cubbies/Kentucky Wildcat/Jacksonville Jags ball games.

Books:

The only books I have time to read these days (that aren't comics, which I also barely have time for) are children's books that I read to the little one quite a bit.

Heroes:

I have to say my own superheroes I created that protect us here in Western Kentucky...Red Mullet & Cow-Boy (shameless plug). They have their own page, but it's tough for em to find time to respond. They're just really busy catchin werewolves and takin out meth labs all night.
Here's the Kenfunky line as well to check out...so what are you waitin on? Go to the Kenfunky MySpace page to buy a shirt & feed a starvin artist.
