Renqing Zou, zi Zong Han, born in 1963, member of China Artist association Chongqing Subdivision, head of Chongqing Nan Feng Institute of Chinese calligraphy and traditional paintings. Good at Chinese traditional impressionist landscape, flower and birds, plum, orchid, chrysanthemum, and specializes in ink bamboo. Well known among the new generation of China’s bamboo artists, he is an artist with talents.
In China’s traditional cultural beliefs, plum can endure the winter cold, orchids are deeply fragrant, bamboos are lofty and clean, chrysanthemums can overlook frost; each representing a desired quality of being a good person, they are collectively being called the four good men, much loved by the Chinese people, plum, orchids, bamboos, and chrysanthemums hold irreplaceable positions in Chinese traditional culture. During these years, Mr. Zou has concentrated on ink bamboo, receiving directions from famous masters, inspired by hundreds of styles, respecting the traditions, at the same time seeking innovation, absorbing excellences from the styles of numerous masters, he formed his own unique style of bamboo, quite different from others. His arts are published in numerous publications worldwide. He has earned the title of Outstanding International Artist Award, experts from the Chinese Bejing Museum of Forbidden city have noted his works of art, think there is much collection value; famous Chinese artist Jiang Feng commented his ink bamboo “refreshingly beautiful for leisurely enjoyments, yet imposing as to pomp and elegance, easily mimicking nature and pretty, handsomely tall and straight, possessing the extremely rich sense of reality, proudly standing against the wind as if to jump out of paper when calledâ€, his works are also being noted on various TV stations around China. Art collectors from United States, England, France, and Vietnam have sought out his works for extensive collection.
