my name is rain.
i sit around... dancing, reading, tending my own bar for myself. mostly gin drinks. bourbon less mixed since a late night on manhattans after a day i skipped supper for a cigar and a beer and a bottle of jts brown. it was the french sweet vermouth.
that leaves us with me thinking long and hard on my myspace password. i have to work fast here, i've consumed 1/2 a honey bear of generic honey and 1/2 a bar to shut it down. not my choice, but i'm not one to be macho and assume i'm not hyper-annoying. back to why i'm listening to pop marty robbins and old andre williams: i just came up with a libation i call "gin and jones."
first start with the cheapest gin in a glass handle sized bottle; bellringer gin or oso negro ginebra are real good starters. most people know i had a bunch of citrus trees and how much i love citrus juice. others also know no matter how much i like fine things, a thing of buglers a handle of rot gut ginebra and some homegrown will do me fine and truth be told, i should restrict myself to it. bellringer gin is poured tonight. julian's aka big jewels birthday, he passed out when i played him some calexico. back to the "gin and jones"
get yourself a honeybear, some exotic tea, some of that jones gourmet soda, some funk music, nice cut crystal hyball glass, cracked ice, and ballpoint pen, some john lee hooker, some hond dog taylor and finally the cheapest gin in a glass handle bottle. (as an alternate add girlfriend who never shot guns with dad's ammo while listening to a/c d/c or hank jr. with the 6x9's all the way up till the battery died on the pick up or dad's ammo played out or we ran out of booze or the sun went down and we didn't have a coyote call or spotlight; or go to punk shows on mindbenders. and pieces of bars to hurry the process of turning the waymore down)
mix all digital tracks and leave alone. crack ice, fill hyball glass to top. pour half the honeybear down your gregory. remix tracks. drink melted ice from hyball glass. sip tea. mix half gin and half jones soda. let me know your favorite flavor. keep away from their cream soda & gin. go with the blueberry pomegranite or berrylemonade. use ballpoint pen to stir. turn volume up on the digital track till girlfriend feeds you pieces of bar.
