Crash! Bam! What a scare!

About Me

By now, Glenn could do anything. He could play guitar like Jeff Beck or Fred Frith. He could write lyrics like John Lydon or Barry White. He was the funniest guy in the world but he was also sorta big and grumpy and didn't play well with others......I was now in the Screamers so I had really arrived. In other words, I immediately became rather insufferable, but their punk rock/art school tutelage pried open my head like a musical can opener.....I was synthesizing classical training and cretin bop and swallowing the Oblique Strategies whole with a side of Jimi.........We would borrow KK or Dix's 4-tracks and go on a month-long 24 hour a day tear, and if we didn't have those it was back to bouncy bouncy with the cassette recorders.....The only thing special about us was that we ate, drank, lived, slept and breathed music...... But there were signs of change on the horizon.....I had somehow coerced Hellin into moving into the South Pacific Apartments and she didn't seem like she was going to be happy sleeping with me on the beanbag chair in the living room for long. Glenn had a romantic interest as well...and where was Kira? She was still playing in a band with Glenn called the Monsters, but I think she was also starting a band with Gerber...
