Hi everyone. This page is dedicated to music and the people who make it. I'm not a musician. I'm a music fan. Maybe I was a musician in a past life or maybe I missed my calling for this life - I don't know. All I do know is that I love music (pretty much any genre, although I do have my favourites) and I have a great respect for people who dedicate their life to this art form. I believe they make the world a better place for it. Most of the "friends" you see on my page are musicians. Some largely successful, or should I say famous (I don't believe you have to be famous to be successful), and some are just starting out on their musical journey. I like to support up and coming artists and as you can no doubt hear, I like to have music playing on this page. I will change the song frequently so people can hear music from an artist they may not be familiar with yet. I'm a big jazz fan but I like a lot of other types of music too as I've stated in the Music section on the left of the page. I grew up in the seventies and listened to mostly rock and pop. I guess my love of jazz was inbred from my parents who listened to Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, Glen Miller, Stan Getz, Tony Bennett. They grew up in an era when popular music was jazz and big band. That obviously rubbed off on me. It's funny that in their later years, they started getting into country music - go figure. Anyway, I like virtually any type of music. I'm not crazy about the real hard alernative rock and gangster rap. I also can't really get into the real progressive "free jazz". My jazz has to swing or have a melody of some kind. So, enjoy my MySpace and keep checking back. You might just discover an artist you'll love. Ciao for now. Peace.!
