Melpein project was born in the summer of 2004 in Foligno (Perugia) when, failed a previous attempt engaged with other musicians, Luca (keyboard) accounts for his young brother Francesco (drums) is ready to be involved in something of important.After dedicating many years only to the classic context, meanwhile he attends the course of pianoforte to the conservatory with a great profit, Luca becomes attracted from the progressive kind and then, urged from his preference for the composition, he decides to explore new musical territories.The harmony with Francisco, who, though his young age, boasts many collaborations with various rock-POP groups of the zone, let them to have immediately an important musical agreement.
Like his older brother, also Francesco devotes himself to the study of the instrument attending some schools in Rome, winning, moreover, two international competitions where he receives the approval of the Masters Mike Red Quinn and Franco Rossi.Soon, Saulo(guitar) joins to them, friend of old date, back from the experience with the Teseida with whom he has shared multiple live exhibitions. The three boys, even if coming from different musical contexts, throw therefore the bases in order to begin their Melpein adventure.After several attempts turned to complete the line-up, finally in the 2005 take over the voice and the bass with the right characteristics.
Paola, studies singing from various years and puts her singing abilities to the test before like voice of the Aralia then through an intense collaboration with Master Angelo Bornaghi.Her passion for poetry and literature brings her to sign all the texts of the group.
Fabio, last "purchase" of the band, was born like grunge bass player with
the group Obscene Actions, then he devotes heimself to the prog-metal
with the Frames.From this moment the MELPEIN concentrates in the development of a original musical idea and at the same time careful to attain the right compromise between melody and technicality.The Group has the homonymous CD-DEMO to its’s credit wich contains three unpublished passages. At the moment it is working for the realization of the first album.
