About Me

Myotis started about a year and a half ago as a side project of Jason & Melissa while in the band Grayland. This was an outlet that let them explore music that they were more into. Soon they realized that this is where they wanted to focus and disbanded Grayland in 12/06. After some slight line up changes, Yancy joined the band after he departed Synthetic Nightmare, and chemistry was instant. Myotis differs from other bands because there is not 1 lead vocalist. Each member has done that in past projects, and as a result each bring a different style with them. At a Myotis show, you will experience each of their vocal styles. Myotis combines danceable drum lines, plentiful keys and arpeggios, and shoegaze style guitar to form a unique and often changing sound that may range from hard industrial to floating ethereal.
