About Me

Every tiny kindness comes back atcha, so why not try it in your art and soul.
We are gold hunters, mountain dwellers, city guests, family. Adrienne is putting on a summer music series this summer called Hear Tell Summer Spells in Grass Valley and will be writing more songs and recording all summer too, as well as jumping in lakes and rivers, so not so many shows til Autumn. Shows are quite scary for her! Adrienne started playing piano at six but didn't start writing songs till she was past high school. Music caught her in it's web like nothing else. She started performing alone in front of an audience in 04- and has been working the row since then. She changed the sobriquet of her performing name to Coal Beautiere in 05 after hunting the swamps and books and peeps of Lafayette and New Orleans. The bayou is a place none can forget. Coal Beautiere means something like "TREASURE ONLY WHAT IS REAL AND CAN WITHSTAND TIME" or "NIGHT STARS COME CRASHING". Sir Echternacht so kindly joined up with Adrienne and helped her to become more brave whilst performing, because playing together seemed completely inevitable and natural, and to add some good strong bass to the piano clink.
Life is a true myth, played out by you, magical and moreso than we have any idea- and Coal Beautiere are strong believers in digging through the regular world into the heart of a living myth. We like optimism, living like children or retired people, living in the "real" real world with the beauty of living in and near nature. CB Carries a cassette recorder frequently in hopes of photograph-recording details of sound. Birds. We seek the warriors, the good fighters, the lovers. We know, despite you criticizers and cynics, that we WILL change and save lives through spreading the word of good. The gold rushes this way now, like alchemy, through our veins and through our heart-song. Love conquers all. And so it goes.
Treat others with honor and respect, all others, the earth, all life. We make music to bring inspiration to anyone who may be in need.
