About Me

I am a student to all teachers, and and a teacher to all students.
We can expect that our shared path through these readings and discussions will take us through various manifestations of message of peace perspectives. We will find resources from the martial arts to those use specific references to religion, and/or to philosophy to secular humanism and back again. An important reminder is to share your perspective and learn from others. Let's see where this takes us!

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Students of Peace:There are Many Paths to Peace.

With this page, students will share reflections on your their journey as they also share the common experience of Peace Studies under the tutellage and guidance of Dr. Peace.
The experience has 12 sections.
Each section describe steps we should undertake on a daily basis to do our part to build lasting world peace.
We will all focus on the each section for 1 month in 2007.
Step 1. Commit Yourself.

Add this page and then post a comment that describes your personal motivations for undertaking this course of study of peace. While many of us want to and do promote peace, we rarely discuss out loud the simple, fundamental reasons: What is peace? Why is peace so important? What role does fear play in preventing peace? Who do you consider to be modern teachers of peace?
This assignment is due when you feel ready.
Step 2. Peace Within.

Assignment #1: Choose and read AT LEAST ONE of these books. Send your reflective comments to this page so we can learn together.

A. Teach Only Love: The Twelve Principles of Attitudinal Healing .
or
B. Be Like Water: Practical Wisdom from the Martial Arts by Joseph Cardillo .
or
C. Paper Wraps Rock by Thomas B. Shea ..
