About Me

For as long as man can remember, dancing has been considered a way to celebrate and express his feelings about life. And just as dancing was used to express his feelings, food became the celebration and yet the two, dancing and food, have never been truly joined...Until now.Chef Luis is the creator of award-winning gourmet sauces for food manufacturers and distributors. Decades old, family-held recipes inspired him to experiment and perfect 5 sauces for consumer distribution and use.BACKDRAFT-rated 10+ on the heat charts. The flavor is outstanding and the heat actually starts late but builds & builds. Mesquite smoked onions & garlic! This is my baby & it's an undefeated 6-time US Grand Champion HOT sauce. SCREAMER:I make this for very special occasions like revenge... This sauce is pure evil, it takes no prisoners & shows no remorse. $99 for a 1/2 oz eye dropper & well worth every drop!As a competing chef: 3-time winner Bon Appetit Classic, 2-time winner Texas Challenge, 1st place-SuperChef 2000 in Atlanta, GA.*My Style of Cooking Latin American cuisine has vaulted to the top of America's food scene in recent years, introducing a dazzling, seductive blend of South, Central, and North American cooking, christened Nuevo Latino. Nuevo Latino is taking traditional recipes/ideas and giving them a futuristic twist.Luis' experience in the martial arts is quite extensive, starting in 1969 under the tutelage of Master Jhoon Rhee in the Korean style of Tae Kwon Do until he received the 1st Dan Black Belt.In 1971, he also started training under GrandMaster Gin Foon Mark in the Chinese style of the Southern Preying Mantis Kung Fu. He received the 4th degree Black Sash. Since 1976 Luis has settled into one style he truly loves, Toga Kure Ryu Ninjitsu. He currently holds a 5th Dan Black Belt in Koppojitsu & Gappojitsu as Shidoshi under the GrandMaster Hatsumi of Japan. He started competing in the end of 1974 with great success and quickly progressed to the U.S. PKA Championships in his first year with a 2nd place finish. In 1975, 1976, & 1977 he won the US PKA Middleweight Championships.1976, 1977, & 1978 - 1st Place, San Francisco's ChinaTown Open Championships*Pro Ballroom & Latin Dancing He started my Ballroom/Latin dancing career in 1975 with the Fred Astaire Organization in Minneapolis, Minnesota. While attending a National competition in Miami, Florida he was offered to transfer to the Sarasota Studio in Florida. He became very active in professional competition with his dance partner "Burmah", together they won many titles in the American style Ballroom, Latin, and Theatrical arts categories thought out the USA."My dream in the dance business was to become a certified adjudicator (judge & choreographer), I became a member of the Board in 1981. I've traveled the world extensively and learned to love the arts even more though the eyes of different cultures."In 1997, he formally retired as a professional, now dancing is his hobby, and he's actually incorporating "Dance" into a cooking demonstration - the result? A "Nuevo Latino" Presentation second to none! "I find it fascinating to do, it's just so enjoyable.Dancing & Cooking at the same time!"
