Carpenter, artist, film maker, singer in a blues/jam band, trail runner, mountain biker, swimmer, MMA Fanatic, zombie movie fan... all can describe me. Whiskey, top-shelf margaritas with extra salt, small dive bars, and live shows, conversation, talking to strangers, and meeting new people are all things that I enjoy. My dog "Thumper", and my truck "Maria", playing my harmonica, blues music, southern rock, bass fishing and shooting guns are all things I love.
I'd like to meet:
Bas Rutten, Randy Couture, Jeremy Horn, Jason "Mayhem" Miller, Chris Leben, Johnny Knoxville, George Romero, all people I respect. And Louis CK, so we can tell people to, "Go suck a bag of DICKS!". Fairuza Balk cause I love Vicki Vallencourt!!! And my girls from Heroes, Ali Larter and Hayden Panettiere! Gina Carano, because she kicks ass for female MMA! All female MMA fighters for that matter, they are great warriors too. Teagan, too bad she's a pornstar. And all my friends on Suicide Girls, I love me some tattooed and pierced women, but you are always trouble!
Music:
I like just about anything LIVE. I'm a sucker for Blues and Rockabilly, metal, classic rock and old school rap. I support my boyz's bands, and of course my fuckin' band 45Auto Blues. I'm really diggin' Gogol Bordello right now.
Movies:
I'm a zombie freak....I love George Romero's Dead Series, 28days later, Way of the Gun, Boon Dock Saints, Dawn of the Dead Remake, Troma Team Movies, Fight Club, Pulp Fiction, Aliens, Matrix Trilogy, Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Blade, Dracula, any version. Idiocracy (I LOVE Idiocracy!!!), Tremors, 5th Element and just about a million more...
Television:
Don't watch TV anymore, gave that shit up. You should too, MTV rots your brain... the decay of human society, turn off the TV and go run or read a book, ANYTHING! LOL, In all Honesty, I watch a few things: History Channel all the time! Dexter, True Blood, Dresden Files (when they are on)
Books:
Anything Stephen King, Orson Scott Card, Sara Douglas, Tad Williams, Piers Anthony, Brian Lumley's Vampires, Anne Rice, Dan Simmons, Jim Butcher's Dresden Files, Issac Asimov, Clive Barker and many, many more... I read several magazines, Real Fighter, Health and Fitness, American Handgunner, and Runner's World.
Heroes:
My dog Shaq, you will be missed!I don't really have "heroes", I have people I respect.Randy Couture because he defies the odds and perseveres when people say he can't. That and he exemplifies being in shape at 43, never say you're too old to be in shape. He epitomizes the "Underdog Can Overcome" attitude. He is a big motivation for me and my fitness level. One of the main people I'd like to meet is Bas Rutten, not only is he the baddest mother on the planet but seems like and genuinely good person and someone whom I'd like to learn from and is very funny. One person I've recently started liking is John Waters. Crazy enough, he thinks just like me. His ideas for movies are ingenious. He is certainly someone who defines the phrase "thinking outside the box". He was an incredibly brave man in almost everything he did in life. He optimizes the idea of "challenging boundaries", and I respect that immensely. Not really a big fan of his movies, lol, but for him as a pioneer.
Others are Sailor Jerry and Crazy Eddie, they were some of the people responsible for bringing one of my favorite things to the US, tattoos. I respect anyone who thinks out of the box and goes against the norm. That's one reason why I love the tattoo girls of Suicide Girls, they redefine what the normal people of society call beauty. Who needs that? Give me a woman with style and ink and personality. Not that you need ink to have personality but I want know people who aren't scare to buck against the herd of cattle.
