I used to be lame, and define myself by my problems. Thats stupid.
so instead I am going to list the things about me that kick ass. Is that a little self indulgent? Yes, it is. ..Fuck you very much... :D
I am an engineering marvel. The world is a lessor place because, I never applied myself to the education and time necessary for structural engineering. I can build anything given enough time, money and motivation.
I ride mountain bikes. Its an obsession. I am probably faster than you think, and certainly more endurance than you imagine. But if you come with me on a ride, we'll have a great time shattering your illusions. And likely I'll get you hooked on it. Be prepared to spend some cash on a bike.
I still think of existence on a grand scale, although, I have finally accepted, my own personal minor role in it. I'm ok with it, and that acceptance has released me from the pressure of succeeding in a world where success isn't measured in personal happiness.
I believe in God, and consider myself saved. I have asked, God to save me, and I truly believe he is out there, and while me may or may not, personally dabble in our affairs, he listens none the less, and sometimes, that matters more than actually waving a "wand" and *poofing* your problem away.
Everyone by now knows, I officially subscribe to the Intelligent design theory...I have my own personal theories about God himself, which I wont get into here, if you're curious or just want and engaging deep convo, ask.
I play bass guitar and a little rhythm guitar...I'm decent, I've played with a blues cover band for the past two years, which has morphed into a rock original act..we're in the process of writing our first original tracks..so it'll be a while, but very soon, it'll be alot more fun.
I also played in a friend of mines metal band for a short time, and that was some fun shit, I got to let go and really let the energy come out..but it wasn't meant to be, unfortunately, as this friend had to go his own way..
I am a child of the 80's metal is in my blood, I will get back there, when the right opportunity arises.
and now to the most important kick ass thing about me.
I have two kids that adore me, I have a solid wife who has walked through the same hell and brimfire I did, I have a solid core of friends, who have my back and I have my pride back.
