Band Members: VOCALS: WILD STEEL -Wild Steel began singing at the age of 16 in a local band named Projecto and after some years he joined Prometeo, a Progressive Metal band from Genoa. One year later the band changed its name to Shadows of Steel and in 1997 recorded its first album under the label Underground Symphony. It played Power Metal with strong Progressive influences also thanks to Andrea De Paoli on keyboards. The lyrics ranged from fantasy to dreams telling of imaginary people lived in remote ages, and revealing at times autobiographical citations.
In 1998 the band published “Twilightâ€, its second album, with the permanent participation of Frank Andiver on drums. Many line-up changes delayed the recording of the third full-length album “Second Floor†that was only released in 2002.
As a consequence Wild Steel decided to dedicate himself to something else and in 2003 he produced the debut album of Athlantis, a band with the same members of Shadows of Steel and Roberto Tiranti as a special guest. That same year he recorded the song “Angel Criesâ€, included in “Tears in Floodsâ€, the album of Odyssea, the new band of Pier Gonella.
In 2005 it was the turn of Soulblaze as vocalist. Thanks to the gained experience, in 2006 he recorded his first solo album at the New Sin Studios in Loria (Italy), simply entitled “Wild Steelâ€, with Pier Gonella on guitars and Frank Andiver on drums.
In the same period he recorded also a tribute album dedicated to Crimson Glory celebrating the great admiration he had always felt for this American group. The mask that Wild Steel wears during his shows is to celebrate the great Midnight.
GUITAR: ICE REAVEN -
Guitar Player,born in Genova,05/06/1969.
He begins to play at 19 with some local bands, the most important was called "Seedback" with the guitarist Yackson,they playied from thrash-metal to classical heavy-metal.
After an inactivity phase he enjoys a rock band named "Dream Toys" as bass player first,as guitar player then,during these years they made some demo-tapes and compilation with other bands but nothing done.
Another year has gone before being a Shadows of Steel member in 1998.
Very important teaching by the Sadist guitarist.
Most influences:Iron Maiden,Judas Priest,Accept.
GUITAR: YACKSON -
Guitar Player,born in Genova,30/03/1973.
He begins to play at 13 classical guitar under the teaching of his granfather,orchestra conductor.
First group at 17,called "Seedback" with the guitarist Ice,after three years he enjoys a new band named "Sin" which record a two tracks demo in Pantera-style.
The most important band before being a S.o.S. member is called "Desecrate" which record a promo of two songs in death-metal style,now they are about to record the debut album.
Most influences:Y.J. Malmsteen,George Lynch, Joe Satriani,Akira Takasaki,Micheal Angelo.
Best composer:Riuky Sakamoto.
Best Mangaka:Go Nagai.
Hobbies:films,anime,manga,music,skyscraping.
He enjoys Shadows of Steel in 1998.
BASS: STEVE VAWAMAS -
Bass Player,born in Genova,21/09/1970.
He begins to play at 14 with some friends in his town,two years later the band start playing around under the name "Black Panters" with great success.
Now the story becomes serious and they forms a new band called "Bloody Eyes",a cover-band in Iron Maiden-style. After three years of activity every member took his own way and Steve begins to play with a Power-Prog band leaded by the singer Fulvio Crespi and it hold the name "The Fags", it was very interesting and soon they signed a contract but the record didn't end because the singer died of heartache.
So "The Fags" change singer and name and start recording the first album called as "Prometeo".
In the meanwhile the singer Wild Steel call Steve to record "Shadows of Steel" in the early 1996
