About Me

Typical fanboy type who has starting working out and is looking more like Brad Pitt and less like the Comic Book Guy from "The Simpsons." Still got a way to go, but hey I lost nearly 50 pounds. Now I'm down to 230.Right now I'm trying to sell my idea for a super-hero mini-series entitled The World Power. In it, Tim Ely, a middle-aged man accidentally taps into the latent residue magic that had created the universe. He inadvertantly uses the sorcery to turn nine of his former classmates into the World Power. The twist is that the classmates' transformation into their heroic selves is captured on tape, and soon the whole world knows their secret identities. However, the heroes themselves lose all memories of their ordinary lives. They then start to take over the world for its own good, with mixed results.I already sent this proposal to Chris Allo, the submissions editor at Marvel Comics. You can contact him at [email protected] and tell him what you think of The World Power. Thanks, everyone.

My Interests

Dating, swimming, getting physically fit, comic books, science fiction, unique history, conspiracy theories, unsolved crimes, writing and creating my own super-hero stories.

I'd like to meet:

Looking for that special man near the Irving area who likes to spend a lot of quality time together. Someone who is into swimming (can't get enough of that), unique talks, and being together as much as possible. Also looking for a workout partner to help me buff up my body all the more. I'm well-endowed in some places, but I'm wanting to be well-proportioned everywhere. And of course I'd love to meet everyone who buys my super-hero idea for The World Power mini-series.

Music:

Blondie, Elvis Presley, the Beach Boys, Roy Orbison, Shania Twain, Johnny Cash, Cass Elliot, Cher, Emmilou Harris (love her version of Imagine by John Lennon), the Supremes, Dolly Parton, the Mamas and the Papas, Tom T. Hall, Cheap Trick, early Madonna, Berlin, Gene Pitney, the Police, and others too numerous in my eclectic collection.

Movies:

Superman Returns, Batman Begins, the X-Men trilogy, Fantastic Four, Blade, the Mission Impossible movies, Grumpy Old Men and Grumpier Old Men (okay, I'm sucking up, but these were good films), The Hitchiker's Guide to the Universe, The Godsend, The Shining, Carrie, and Delores Claiborne.

Television:

Heroes, Two and a Half Men (thank you, TIVO), The X-Files, Saturday Night Live, NCIS, Lost, Smallville, Nip/Tuck, Sex and the City, The Sopranos, Without a Trace, Queer as Folk, Six Feet Under, Seinfeld, Blade, Witchblade, Medium, The Simpsons, Everybody Loves Raymond, and Boston Legal.

Books:

Most anything by Steven King and Brad Meltzer (though I thought Identity Crisis had a faulty premise--making a super-villain/rapist suffer from low self-esteem?), Astro City, both League of Extraordinary Gentlemen books, Terra Firma, Marvels and Squadron Supreme (both of which inspired my The World Power mini-series).

Heroes:

Christopher Reeve and Richard Donner for bringing us all a Superman that we can always believe in, Kelsey Grammar for bringing us Medium, the SNL cast members who always could make me laugh, and all the people who made their dreams come true despite tremendous obstacles like Helen Keller.

Damn you, Brad Meltzer!

"Good Lord!" Gene Meyer rubbed his forehead in frustration.  "Our friends turned into super-heroes!  One of them brought back to life all because you had to copy the current fad in comic boo...
