Accidents Waiting To Happen out now!

About Me

I’m Simon Wood and I’m a published thriller, crime and horror author. Over the last eight years, I’ve had over 150 short stories and articles published. My short fiction has appeared in a number “Best of” anthologies and I'm a frequent contributor to Writer’s Digest.

I’m the author of WORKING STIFFS, DRAGGED INTO DARKNESS and ACCIDENTS WAITING TO HAPPEN. My current book is PAYING THE PIPER and my next, WE ALL FALL DOWN, will be out in July. I write horror under the pen name of Simon Janus and my first horror novella, THE SCRUBS, will be out in June.

Fictionwise.com is currently reprinting a number of short stories.

Originally from England, I moved to the US in ’98. My wife, Julie, is American, but I don’t hold it against her. Our lives are dominated by a longhaired dachshund, Royston, and four cats, Chewie, Chase, Bug and Tegan. In my past, I was a competitive racecar driver and I’m a licensed pilot. My mum likes that I’ve taken to writing, as she think it’s the safest thing I’ve done. However, I still cycle and I travel to the far flung corners of the world, having recently returned from Latin America. I'm dyslexic and I'm sure there are rules against me writing for a living, but I never understood the memo.
You can learn more about me at www.simonwood.net , or email me at [email protected] . I send out a monthly e-newsletter that you can join.

I hope you’ll check me out.

My Interests

Thriller, crime, mystery and horror fiction and movies. I'm mad keen on motor racing and I used to compete in England during the early '90s. I'm a die hard Watford FC fan. I cycle and I like to travel.

I'd like to meet:

If you like my books and stories, I want to hear from you. I’m always interested in what my readers have to say and I always answer questions. I hope to come across writers too. I’ve learned a lot from my peers and I still have lots to learn and share.

Feel free to check out my e-newletter. As well as learning about current and upcoming books, it's a cockeyed look at the world and my place in it.
