Influences: There are far too many to mention, but here are a few starting with my brother Keith Loftis who rules on tenor sax. Keith has worked with some of the greats in jazz including Ray Charles, Cedar Walton, Roy Hargrove, Nancy Wilson and many more.As a vocalist, I am moved by many incredible local talents here in Dallas such as Liz Mikel, Denise Lee, Gary Floyd and others. With regard to those who have inspired me since childhood I'd have to start with my two main women Ella Fitzgerald and Sarah Vaughan! From there the list is all over the place:Antonio Carlos Jobim
Joe Williams
Nancy Wilson
Jon Hendricks
Mel Torme
Esther Phillips
Etta James
Nat King ColeI could go on for awhile so this should give you an idea!
