Drummer Chris Wabich lends subtlety and insight to Bill Evans compositions" - Nenette Evans - Bill Evan's widow-------(thanks nenette..and now our guest speaker for the evening) welcome to my web thingie..... so I am fortunate to play jazz for a living with wonderful artists in the LA area, where I have been since 1990 . Before that I was in Asheville, NC and surrounding cities. Some runouts as a drum set guest artists include the University of Montana and Arizona state PAS, Pori Jazz Festival, Hisperia Carnival and FACES Ethnofestival in Finland, Long Beach, Virginia, and Buffalo Symphony Orchestras, and CSU Summer Arts Workshops-----and before i space it, special thanks to my sponsor, Cadeson custom drums!!!---------Some of my recent projects include soundtracks for Ludacris, Sting, Malcolm in the Middle, "Better Homes and Gardens", "Wild California" and CDs with bass virtuosos, Darek Oles, Brian Bromberg and Jimmy Johnson. I have recorded with Sting, Lalo Shifrin, Sheila E, Alex Acuna, Bill Watrous, Eliot Wadopian (Paul Winter), Larry Koonse, Bad Haggis, Axiom of Choice, Boogsie Sharpe, Prog Rock legends Kevin Ayers (Soft Machine), Mike Hoffman (Tony Williams Lifetime), and Richard Sinclair (Caravan) and recently started a CD project with 60's poet, Leonard Cohen-------2007 releases that I will bug you about sometime include 11 volt sketches, 3& w.
