The Sickness

About Me

I'm the lead artist on a game called "Gears of War" by Epic Games.
Recently I've been messing around with Mudbox, skin shaders and Mental Ray here are some test renders. I'm starting with a medium poly model laying out the uv's for that then bringing it into mudbox and subdividing. The uv's get deformed a bit but over all I get a nice image to paint on in Photoshop.
Had some time off for the holidays and messed around with this beasty. Started off as a zombie but morphed into something more Dagon-ish. I can't seem to get away from slobbering drooling things :)
Embellished the Mudbox sculpt a bit I'm calling him a Goblin Mage.

Finished this guy up. Pretty much a straight up render out of 3dsMax. About 45 min in Mudbox to shape the head and torso. (started with a blob of polys) then a couple more hours in Photoshop and Max to get the render right. About 5 hrs total.
