Are MC

Started out around '85, Are MC wrote his first lyrics inspired by artists like Run DMC and Big Daddy Kane. From 1991 till now he wrecked stages and dropped some albums with; Dope Posse, DTF, Family Jewels, Seven Eleven, UJ (U-Gene & Oh Jay), handieMan & Hans Dulfer. Did some touring with all these cats on big festivals and clubs all around Europe. For instance, Are MC was performing live on large festivals like Low Lands (NL), North Sea Jazz (NL), Blue Balls (Switserland) and Fête de l’Humanité (France).

Spaced Out

Now this Adidas-freak comes with his debut solo album called ‘Spaced Out’. The album is a solid piece of hip hop with a funk vibe produced by Oh Jay, one of Hollands most appreciated hip hop producers, famous for his dope beats for Brainpower, Dope Posse, Family Jewels, U-Gene, Rap Classical, Jay Frenzy, Slimm Diesel and many more.
The 18 tracks cd containes contributions by:
Seven Eleven, Dodge, U-Gene, Slapbak (U.S.A.), DTF, DJ Funk President, Jay Frenzy (Frontline/Rap Classical), Sonny Styles, Speed One, Slimm Diesel (Rap Classical), L-Rock (Phat Pockets/ DAMN), Menace (U.S.A.)

4XM & Seven Eleven Records

‘Spaced Out’ is released on 4XM Records. More releases on this fresh new Dutch indie label in 2006 were ‘Last Crewsaders – Never Dated’ and ‘Various – South Bombing’. Are MC also appears on both albums. Dice from Seven Eleven came with the whole idea to bring an album out. Seven Eleven realised it from the beginning of recording. Without Seven Eleven there was no Are MC nor album!
Live on stage Are MC performs in different styles. Whether it is with the funkband Seven Eleven, his many guest rap vocals with different projects or as a pure hip hop-act with Dutch DMC champion 2006 DJ Rachi, it’s always damn funky.
So now with the album ‘Spaced Out’ we’re entering a new chapter in (Dutch) hip hop history!
