The Soul Snatchers are coming to getcha!
Real Soul music never dies. That becomes obvious once more when the experienced musicians of the Dutch band Soul Snatchers manage to grab their audiences by the throat on every gig, bringing a fingerlicking set of timeless, down to earth Funk and Soul songs. Theyre no retro band, neither do they just play covers. The Soul Snatchers are alive and kicking, playing music that, inspiration-wise, clearly goes way back to the groovy, sexy Sixties and Seventies. The Soul Snatchers dont beat around the bush: as far as Soul goes they dont pretend to have invented it, neither are they trying to reinvent it. But they sure have got it and are more than eager to share it! Founded rock solid on the well oiled rhythm section of clean drums and thumping bass, the dangerously growling Hammond organ and the reverbing sounds of the Gretsch guitar find their way to your soul blindly. Add to that the two- or threeheaded horn section and the tormented throat of female singer Jojo (or a guest vocalist) and one nearly orgastic climax after another rolls out of the speakers.
The Soul Snatchers just keep on coming!

What others think of The Soul Snatchers:
Yeah,,, I got a good word. It is the best record to go in my box so far this year. I am gonna hammer both sides. I played "I can't stand it" twice last Friday, second time my old mate and dj partner Guy Hennigan (a man not easily moved by records) came to the decks shouting "What the fuck is this ?". Number one in my chart for the next few months without a doubt.Keb Darge
Super crispy, super funky, uptempo soul 45 from this Dutch band. Great production especially on drums and percussion. They say themselves that this is nothing new and that they're not trying to reinvent soul music, they are just loving the heritage and playing it damn well. Sometimes good music is just that and getting all precious about taking things forward is not needed. Just listen to the samples... Pete Isaac
