Comet Music is an independent record label based just outside Cardiff, specialising in Rock, Classic Rock and Progressive Rock music. The company formed in November 2006 and our aim is to offer the opportunity for bands to develop their music and secure a release to the relevant market. We are a self sufficient company with recording facilities, mastering facilities and distribution.
Our first signing is a band with pedigree, ambition and great music. The Reasoning formed in 2005 after Matthew Cohen (bass) left prog band Magenta. After assembling a stunning and talented array of musicians, the band secured the talents of Rachel Jones. Rachel was the lead singer in the band, Karnataka. She has the unprecedented honour of being voted Best Female Vocalist, 4 years consecutively, for the Classic Rock Society. The Reasoning now have 3 incredible singers to bring their music alive and with the huge scope in their sound combined with the vocal abilities of Rachel, Dylan and Gareth, The Reasoning are a band to behold. We are also very proud and honoured to announce that the exceptionally talented Steve Rothery of Marillion is making a special guest appearence on the album along with the wonderful Liz Prendergast from Folk Rockers, Blue Horses.
