Laissez-Fayre

Laissez-Fayre is a Brisbane concept band being started by songwriter, guitarist and visionary Dario Western. Originally started in 2001 and later March 2006 with different lineups, the latter recorded a demo before splitting up in October, leaving Dario to work on a new lineup.The band idea is to help market the naturist and nudist approach to life to a modern rock and pop music audience - the vision is that in the next 10 years no person will be ashamed or embarrassed about their bodies or mistreating the animal kingdom or the natural environment.Put the femme-fatale charisma of the GTO's, Suzi Quatro, Bad Girls, Spice Girls and Rockbitch together with the anti-establishment 'f.cuk the Man' attitude of the likes of the Rolling Stones, Sex Pistols, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Rage Against The Machine, the political angst of Midnight Oil and Billy Bragg, the camp antics of Morrissey and Vaginabillies, and the exotic rhythms of Paul Simon's 80's - 90's music and you'll get an idea of what we're gonna be like.
