About Me

HITS have been playing around Brisbane for a couple of years now... on and off between disasters, usually of their own making. They comprise members of some defunct "seminal" (cheers Macka!) Brisbane punk bands and some currently fabulous ones as well.Apart from our own shows we've played support to the likes of The Scientists and Lime Spiders as well some of the best of their city's heavy hitters such as Giants of Science, Sixfthick, Vegas Kings, Horrortones, Dangermen etc. A "plum" spot at this years Ramone-a-thon saw the band play a set of Devo covers to rapt acclaim. And at the Stooges Xmas party Hits played "Funhouse" from start to finish..... there was a tour to Sydney somewhere in there with Tiger by the tail and Sydney's legendary Kelpies..... so it's not like we've done nothing.The promise of a recording has not come true. Evil Dick is a liar. But it seems the stars may be starting to align. Work on the debut album, tentatively entitled - "RARITIES" will begin this year. (Probably also a lie). 2008 began with a bang supporting the "fucking seminal" ONYAS in a beer spitting frenzy of a night. Rocked out with the Lime Spiders - kicked it with the Dirtbombs... it's shapin up to be a good year. Most recently annihilated the Tongue & Groove (again) with our boobies, bulges and beers. Till we pull our 5 fingers out (but it feels so good in there) we can only throw pieces of live shit at you like ...like... breadcrumbs to hungry, fetid pigeons. (With all due respect.) Get down.
