About Me

I live my life in images. Every visual impression is an attempt to understand who I am, who I am becoming, and the legacy that has been erased from my memory. Every face is a reaction, a validation of the presence of struggle, a celebration of hope, a conveyer of truth, a mirror to my own humanity. Through understanding the human condition I become acquainted with my own condition, become aware of my own intuitive self. My own private anguish resides in the anguish of my people.
I exist in a world of moments used to build pieces of me, pieces of the world I move through each day. To become oblivious to these moments is to throw away the chance to understand life, and the ability to transform it.

Photography (See Website: http://rosadominicana.googlepages.com/home). Biking. Reading. Blogging. Drumming. Singing. Spoken Word Poetry. Dancing. Playin bones (dominoes). Good vegetarian food. Invested in the movement to build a revolutionary army through inciting critical minds.."[Critical pedagogy] is no small matter since once the affirmative nature of such a pedagogy is established, it becomes possible for students who have been traditionally voiceless in schools to learn the skills, knowledge, and modes of inquiry that will allow them to critically examine the role society has played in their own self-formation. More specifically, they will have the tools to examine how this society has functioned to shape and thwart their aspirations and goals, or prevented them from even imagining a life outside of the one they presently lead." -Giroux
