Bio Frans Vollink:
Dutch bassplayer Frans Vollink's interest in music came relatively late at age 16. When a friend played Jaco Pastorius for him he got hooked to the electric bass. After just two years of fierce woodshedding, he was atmitted to the conservatory. After graduating (masters degree) in 1998, he played and recorded with a variety of musicians, including NY guitarplayers Hendrik Helmer, Eef Albers, percussionist Nippy Noya, drummer/keyboardist Gary Husband and Hammond player John Hondorp. In may/june 2006 Frans toured with USA jazz/fusion guitarplayer Wayne Johnson (Manhattan Transfer). Since then gained a lot of live experience with "The Frontline Showband", a nine-piece coverband with hornsection. This band backs up a lot of Dutch artists like Jeroen vd Boom, Bert Heerink, Syb vd Ploeg, Berget lewis, Re-Play and Antje Monteiro.

"One Spirit", quartet featuring Sebastiaan Cornelissen - drums; Rob van Bavel - keys; Richard hallebeek - guitars/guitarsynth.
This Quartet recorded the CD "One Spirit" during 2004, featuring guest soloists from around the globe like Gerard Precenser, Susan Weinert, Randy Brecker, Martin Verdonk and Lale Larson. The CD was released in december 2005 en got outstanding reviews all over the world. 2008 will see the release of the second CD of this quartet, again with a variety of guests including Steve Hunt and Randy Brecker.
"Guillermont/Cornelissen/Vollink", trio with guitarplayer Marc Guillermont(Paris/F) and drummer Sebastiaan Cornelissen. New CD release to be expected in 2008.
Frans is accepting motivated students, he is an accomplished arranger and transcriber, and he has his own 24 track recording studio in Emmen NL, open for recording projects for all kinds of bands/musicians .
