Peter Weissink has played alot in both jazz clubs in The Netherlands and Germany and regularly kicking off jazz sessions in and around his home town.
Starting of on piano at age 6, he began playing in marching bands also at age 9. Apart from 3 lessons, he is a self-taught drummer. At 15 he began his musical journey in theatre and musical productions. This led him into playing in pop, rock and blues bands. At the same time, he was playing in well-known wedding bands and for one off gigs, with styles from classical to pop & jazz. He has accompanied both national and international artists, as well as doing studio recordings for various projects.
His love for jazz and fusion developed gradually and he was lucky to meet musicians with similar interests. He is currently playing as a free-lance drummer with various projects and bands.
