About Me

..Some people play video games. Some people find excitement in x-treme sports. Members of The S.HitFactory play with soundbites, words, noises and shredding guitars. Obsessed with the sound of music he listened to as a kid, Nils Rurack started playing guitar at age 11 and never quit. He played guitar through high school, in local bands with original material. In college, he actually received a bachelor's degree in popular music and guitar and played countless gigs with mainly covers to get food on the table. Being annoyed by the "professional" circuit and tired and bored by playing covers, Nils changed his career path and continued to play and compose for fun. Ten years later, few people have crossed his path and stuck around long enough for the infamous basement recordings. But this is just the beginning. New cooperations are on the way and with the electronic highway in full swing, the possibilities are endless...
In August of 2007 Nils joined Reigning Heir and since November they've been kicking ass live in the St Louis metro area. Watch an example below.
In February of 08 Nils came to meet Mikey Reardon of the Defcon Monkeys. Working in a long-distance recording relationship they created Stereo Burn and you can hear some examples shortly of their instant muiscal chemistry.
