Cause an Effect was formed in 2004 under the name of Heart Sold Separately. The name change occurred in late 2006. They decided to change their name because they grew as a band (as well as individually) and started writing their songs differently. With the new name also came new goals and aspirations for the future. The band has evolved and is headed in a more serious direction.
