Coming from Montreal, a city where every band strives to have themselves heard, four guys practice endless hours and reek havoc on stages across Canada simply because they love good music. Composed of lead singer/guitarist Chady Awad, lead guitarist Mat Kobylanski, bassist Dave Ritchie and their newest addition, drummer Ryan Stevenson, Red October pride themselves in having fun with what they do best: creating a unique hard-hitting sound with soul filled melodies.
They've toured multiple times and have played with some of Canada’s hardest working bands such as Shotgun Rules, The Fully Down, Ten Second Epic, The Reason and countless others, while also sharing the stage with some of the industries biggest bands such as Thrice and The Deftones on both the Warped Tour and Taste of Chaos. Their larger-than-life-stage presence engages the audience from start to finish every time, delivering exactly what they promise: a killer live show.
Having two independently released EPs under their belts (Red October (self titled – 2005) and The Sound of Sirens (2006)), the guys are in the process of writing their highly anticipated debut full-length album which is set to be released by early fall '08.
When they are in your town, don't hesitate to go up to them and say hello, but chances are, they will challenge you to a street hockey match and most probably kick your ass. So bring your earplugs and your shin pads and get ready for the boom.
