Mares, good feed, mares, getting my butt and back scratched, mares, exercise, a nice blanket in the winter, getting my hair trimmed, more exercise, mares. The mounting dummy at the vet's is pretty sweet, too.
I am interested in horseracing -- now that I am retired from racing, I am most interested in my sons & daughters & their racing experiences. My oldest foals were 2-year-olds in 2007 & small number of them (just 4) raced. From those 4 were 2 winners, 4 race money earners, 4 ROM (race Register of Merits) & 1 3-time stakes finalist. My 2nd crop of foals will race this year. I wish for my sons & daughters not only speed, but strength & courage, as well. I hope they have the hearts of some of their great ancestors -- & may they stay healthy & sound throughout their careers!
My son A NEWS STREAK outrunning a horse by champion Stoli and leading sire Check Him Out!
My oldest son (2 years old in 2007), A NEWS STREAK, in the winners' circle after winning his first race on May 28, 2007!
My 2-year-old daughter GOTTA NEWSFLASH ("Kate") winning a race at Lone Star Park, in Texas, November 30, 2007.
I love learning about the lives of my ancestors, great Quarter Horses and Thoroughbreds, royal horses with big hearts. And because of superb genetics, I like to dabble in philosophy, poetry, history, religion and science. (Not math -- the only math I need is enough to be able to count how many mares are in my "harem" and how to calculate a speed index!)
I'd like to meet:
I'd like to meet beautiful (I especially like gray) mares with nice pedigrees. I especially like mares that can run fast. I like big mares with lots of body, mares that are good producers.

Something to Think About
Music:
Race track tunes -- I have very ecclectic musical taste, actually.
Movies:
Dreamer (love the mare that stars in that one), Seabiscuit, Flicka, Hilalgo. Love the movie Gladiator.
Television:
TVG -- really like watching the races! In 2007 one of my daughters and 4 or more of my sons will be old enough to race (they are in training now) -- and I hope to see them on TV! I get a kick out of Desperate Housewives, Grey's Anatomy, Boston Legal, CSI and The History Channel.
Books:
Don't get time to do much reading.
When I have time to browse the Internet, I like this site www.fasthorses.biz.
Heroes:
My daddy, First Down Dash. He is THE GREATEST! My grandfather, Dash For Cash -- incredible horse!
You can read more about my heros at www.circledhorses.com.

My sire, the great First Down Dash, All-Time Leading Quarter Horse sire, and my dam, the beautiful stakes winner Shiney Miles, daughter of Magical Mile TB, my grandsire, the legendary Dash For Cash -- these forebears and the many others, whose speed, conformation, disposition and heart are in my blood -- are my heroes!
My Favorite Humans
Way back before I was part of their lives, "my people" had ways to get around, and they had horses, but what did they ever do without me, RARE NEWS?
