biggest musical influences on your music- Greg, Jen & Sue...for all the great times, and great music I have discovered through our years of friendship (You know who you are!) Nawar...a Melbourne music talent and friend I don't want to disappoint, by giving up. John Swan for your hours of patience, fun and friendship of learning something from nothing. You mentor me psychologically now...
biggest non-musical influences on your music- May sound weird, but my dog, Kirra. She influences everything I do in some sort of way, as it all has to fit with her in my lifestyle.
band name ideas other then Here the Dead- No Idea.....that was one idea. No. Just kidding. I forget most of them now...Crutial Element, Ear Pain, Strong Hold, Structure...nothing very good. Most of my ideas sounded too Hardcore in name, so they stayed in my notebook.
ever invented anything cool- Nothing real special...just little craft-style ideas that have caught the attention of others I guess. I mainly develop ideas through gift making or to meet an unusual personal need.
I invented a leather hair-conset, to wear and protect my hair from the wind when I ride motorbikes. I sold a few and made them as gifts for long haired friends. I still have the original. That was a while back...
I also worked out a way to re-cover or cover with leather; sports steering wheels and regular steering wheels on the older style non-airbag type car steering wheels. At the time, this eventuated from a need to recover my own shabby sports steering wheel on my Charger. The next one I did was to hide a bogged-up crack in the steering wheel of my 1971 LC GTR Torana...it got me the Road Worthy slip and looked really nice. Sold the car with it still intact, 5 years or so later. Friends saw my work, and I did some for them, and a speed boat wheel too. The NSW Alpha Romeo Club invited me to advertise in there Newsletter. That was quiet a compliment. I still do the odd one for some cash, if it's for a special muscle car that I really like. It's pretty time consuming - so I don't really invite the work otherwise.
in five words describe each of the other band members
Hey, They each deserve more than just five words of praise!!!
Well, the're all really good guys - and all pretty quiet thinkers really. If my ship was sinking, I would want to go down with them. They are each highly skilled musicians, creative, fun, easy going, caring and an awesome bunch of friends to have....music or not. Lex & Stevo I've known for many years from living in Sydney.
Lex I met through mutual friends back in his days with "Carnage" and "Psi.Kore". Outside of that, he has always written heaps through the years, played, filled in for mates (Eg: Dark Order) and stayed in touch with his music through various non-stop projects. He has his own stuff he works on independant to the band...the music pores out, continually...always writing and recording at home. www.myspace.com/lexdourian
Stevo I got to see play during his years with heaps of projects and helping mates bands, like Dark Order for about a year...I was into Addictive long before I met him. I met him through music friends during his time with Dungeon. (I like when he plays thrash better!) He was most recently one of the founding members of Sydney outfit, Vatacide (they're awesome!!!). There is always a line up wanting him to Drum for them...not unusual for him to have 2 or 3 things happening band wise at once in the past.
- Lex - generous, precise, deep, perfectionist hermit (known to shoot trees, in the absence of eatible feral beasts, when hunting).
- Stevo - committed, honest, layed back, enjoys an ale and a yarn, the eternal diplomat
- Daniel - enthusiastic, a gentle soul, poetic artistic vibe, the rift-master
favourite musician that doesnt play the same instrument as you- Wicked guitarist - Pat Piecy, Sydney - Cell Structure...thanks for getting me into singing, my friend. Get out of playing in the bedroom and show your stuff again! What's your new project called???
favourite musician that does play the same instrument as you- I canot settle for just ONE...sorry!
Some girls: Judi "Niad", Sydney (1996-98?), Michelle Madon "Tourettes", Connie Mitchell "Primary", Angela Gossow "Arch Enemy", Kimberly Goss "Sinergy"...generally I'm not personally much into female vocals overall, but these girls do it with carisma, whether you like the style of music or not.
Some boys: Les Jobson "Dreamkillers", Franky DSVD "Channel Zero" (Belgium), Das letzte Finhorn "In Extremo", Chris Corenell "Soudgarden & Audio Slave" etc, Adam Agius"Alchemist", Flynn Gower "Cog", Pat Savelkoul "Callenish Circle, Rob "Vatacide", Jason Klein "Christ Art Museum", John Swan "Party Boys" & "Swany" my awesome singing Coach, Vocalist from "Butterfly Effect", Tex Perkins "Beasts of Bourbon" etc, Nick Cave "Birthday Party" etc, Iggy Pop...and more. I really like male vocals best of all....with a bit of gravel is extra good!

if you were an animal what would you be, and why? I would like to be something that still has an abounding, unpolluted, undisturbed natural habbitat, without tusks, and with ugly fur, and bad tasting flesh. Some kind of animal ignored by man - because I have no valuable assets to hunt or eat. Is there such an animal? Perhaps it's not been discovered yet. That would be nice.
