"Demeter" and "Demeter: Surrender" is a short film series centered around the character from the hit Detroit sci-fi series "Inzer0" from Thought Collide Productions. Set in the same post-apocolyptic world as the series, the short allows the viewer a peek into the life of Demeter - a character described on the show as tough, brilliant and completely psychotic.
However, perception is everything - nothing is ever as it seems.
Demeter has quickly gained a following as the character people love to watch.. like a traffic accident... you know you shouldn't look.. but....
The short also introduces elements from Demeter's past including Nalos- her one time mentor in her former life, and Daphene - the equally brilliant woman who shares a past with Demeter. The two remind us- the line between love and hate, power and surrender is often razor thin.
Starring Rio Scafone as Demeter, Yanni Kuznia as Daphene, Jason Grasl as Nalos, Mike Petersen as Meran, and Sean Harris as Daniel.
Based on characters and setting created by Jamie Sonderman for the sci-fi series "INZER0". Both films: Executive Producer Matthew Peach, Written and Directed by Mike Madigan.
