OLOXUM

Francisco Levino Correa da Silva-mestre Chiquinho-
was born in Bahia Brasil,near the river Sao Francisco,on 1958.
He traveled all around the state of Brasil since he was a little
child,learning all diferents riythms and dances characteristic of
every place. He also practiced capoeira with mestre Brasilia,
and at the age of 33 he moved to Italy, where he began teaching
capoeira, samba, brasilian percussions, and workin as dj in Roma
and Bologna. Now he is the president of Italo-Brazilian Association
Oloxum, that promotes brazilian folk and culture in Italy and he
has got his own band with which he produced his first CD,
featuring the "Sociedade do choro from Sao Paulo" :
eleven tracks , five of them are capoeira music,
and the other are samba and pagode style. enjoy :)
