JEWELS est un micro-label issu de la VPC/Mailorder List : RED HEAD MAN. JEWELS a pour vocation unique l'édition de singles vinyls de titres ska et rocksteady de groupes plus ou moins rares. Un vrai label à la jamaïcaine, l'arnaque en moins. Un nom de mytho, une esthétique à peine kitch, un poil d'autodérision mais bien décider à faire les choses sérieusement et proprement.
Pour l'instant ce label est minus-minus avec ses trois sorties mais ses ambitions sont maousses et sa vision à très long terme s'il est suivi par le public.
S'il est besoin de le préciser JEWELS est aussi anti-faciste et anti-raciste que RED HEAD MAN et, au vue des expériences quotidiennes, toujours plus anti-capitaliste que jamais : Ska, Reggae, Soul et Luttes Sociales
JEWELS Recordings is a very small label for vinyl EPs. It only release some Rocksteady and traditional Ska actual bands. It comes from the french Ska Mailorder list and label : RED HEAD MAN. Born in january 2006, JEWELS allready released three singles, at the moment it's really a small label, a king of toy. But when you like the EPs, it may become a real vinyl label ... in the JA spirit (without the traditional producers trouble).
Surely, i don't need to explain that, anyway JEWELS and RED HEAD MAN are antifacists and anti-facist structures. Both try to grow slowly without capitalist aimt and methods. Just for fun, music and justice : Ska, Reggae, Soul and Social fighting !
